Launceston Pony and Riding Club Incorporated was established in 1971 and is a member of Pony Club Tasmania (PCT). Our Club has a proud tradition of providing our members with quality instruction, horsemanship skills and varied activities which contribute towards making their experience of horse riding as safe and enjoyable as possible.
LPRC strives to achieve the aims of the Pony Club movement which are:
- to encourage young people to ride and to learn all kinds of sport concerned with horses and riding;
- to provide instruction in riding and horsemastership and to instil in members the proper care of their animals; and
- to promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self-discipline in an environment free from harassment and discrimination.
